A Reconciliation between Yi Nationality’s Religious Beliefs and Modern Political Identities: An Interpretation of Christianity in a Yi Village

In order to explore how ethnic minorities in China reshape their perception of themselves today, I conducted field research K Village southwest China. this anthropological about village which has a majority Yi minorities, did in-depth interviews, discourse analysis, and participatory observance examine the conflicts between three different identities, tensions behind contemporary society, history Christianity village, meaning identities individuals. Based on analysis cultural phenomena Village, interpret there––Yi are using as tool reconcile modern political or religious identities. This not only contributes understanding minorities’ bodily practices negotiating various cultures, but also assists governments developing better policies.
